Drew Barrymore Turns 50, Still Says “Stuff That” to Surgery

Drew Barrymore has officially joined the Half-Century Club, and she’s not going under the knife to celebrate. The actress, talk show host, and all-round good egg opened up behind the scenes of The Drew Barrymore Show, saying she’s steered clear of cosmetic surgery — and reckons she’ll keep it that way.

“I haven’t done anything,” she said. “And I want to try and stay that way.” But in true Drew fashion, she added, “Do whatever works for you — just don’t judge others for doing it their way.” Now that’s what we call Botox-free brilliance with a side of empathy.

Ageing Gracefully? More Like Ageing Honestly, Mate

Barrymore, who recently told AARP The Magazine that turning 50 was like “being Frodo and seeing the brass ring,” said the real trick to ageing gracefully isn’t about smoothing your crow’s feet — it’s about softening your self-talk.

She dropped more wisdom than a fortune cookie in a wind tunnel:

“A smile is better than any lipstick… and who says a flaw is a flaw? That might be someone else’s favourite thing about you.”

Honestly, that’s enough to make your great aunt reconsider her weekly trip to the laser clinic.

Aussie Take: “No Need for a Nip or Tuck When You’ve Got This Much Chuckle”

In a country where we love our wrinkles as much as we love a snag off the barbie, Drew’s attitude is peak Aussie spirit. She’s proof that a good laugh, a good heart, and a solid SPF routine can outlast any filter or filler.

So here’s to Drew Barrymore: walking proof that ageing is not only natural — it can be bloody beautiful, too.
